Xpo 2008 at The Barbican
After a long drive to London and various arguments with the sat nav along the way, Caged Angel arrived at the Barbican on Friday morning ready to set up for the 3pm opening time. Firstly, I would really like to thank the guys on the gate and loading bay - you were fantastic and were such a help to me by carrying all my paintings all the way to my exhibition space. You were real hero's, even if you found it hilarious tha my stand had been called Caged Animal instead of Caged Angel...anyway, that was sorted before the show openned! Thanks guys xx
After setting up and meeting a few other exhibitors and getting changed the doors opened at 3pm and there was a steady stream of visitors...we aren't talking getting trampled in the rush here, but it was steady. The circle line closure didn't really help
Thank you to everyone who visited my stand and commented favourably on my work. It was also great to meet Mark Bell, Nick Hook and Charlotte Gibson, other exhibiting artists, who were so friendly - and irritatingly talented! Seriously, it's really good to meet fellow artists and swap ideas etc.
Thanks also to Paul Ambrose (Furnishings of Fantasy) and Steve Hart (Wild Cherry Images), as well as Mike, from www.yourhiddenpassion.com, and Raphael, for taking an interest in my work, taking photos of me and generally keeping me smiling during two very long days.
Thanks especially to those people who bought paintings or prints from me at the show or have contacted me since. I hope you continue to enjoy your purchases.
If you are going to Erotica, please come and say hello - I will be in the Art Gallery, near the demonstration area x
